3 weeks

Three weeks in, it feels like we’re getting the hang of this parenting thing.  As people keep reminding me, parenthood ain’t for sissies.  After a few loooong nights, we are back on the daytime/nighttime bandwagon and sleeping four hour stretches at night.  Happiness all around.

We finally got a birth announcement together… not that we needed one since Facebook exists and everyone already knows he’s here.  We took a lot of pictures this week, so forgive the picture heavy post.

I shan’t tell a lie, this is his second bath.  We forgot to get the real camera during the first one.  I was channeling Maria with that one, and Si isn’t even the second born.  Blame it on sleep deprivation.

Get a load of this clean, curly headed babe.  He was asleep about four seconds after this picture.

The awesome presents just keep rolling in…

My parents came this weekend and snapped some photos of the three of us while they were here.  They were so happy to see him after a two week wait!  He is changing so much and his face is getting oh so round.

We are so happy with his growth at this point.  He is at least in the 10th percentile, and 50th for length.  He’s catching up!   Silas is a whopping six and a half pounds and growing out of clothes at lightspeed.

We will be traveling for the holidays, despite his 5 week age when the hospital recommended 8 weeks before crowds since he was tiny and it’s winter.  He will probably spend most of his time in the maya wrap to minimize germs, but we can’t wait to introduce him to the families!

Two weeks to Christmas.  I need some snow.
